Launch of a new mobile App
The Kathmandu Post, Nepal's leading English-language daily, embarked on a digital transformation journey by launching its official mobile app, designed to bring trusted journalism directly to readers' fingertips.
The first step in this initiative was rebranding its masthead, the cornerstone of its identity. The refreshed masthead adopted a sleek, modern design, aligning with the app’s mission to deliver credible news in a rapidly evolving digital landscape while preserving the newspaper’s commitment to its tagline, "Without Fear or Favour."
The rebranding laid the foundation for a multi-channel ad campaign to introduce the app to traditional readers and a growing digital audience. The campaign's narrative revolved around "Your Trusted News, Anytime, Anywhere," highlighting the app's real-time updates, personalised features, and accessibility. Teaser ads, bold social media promotions, and interactive QR code integrations in print editions encouraged readers to embrace the new platform.
